Announcements for the last week of February, 2009
Sorry that we missed last weeks update. We’ve made some small changes here, though, and that means we’ve got a LOT of new materials for your reading pleasure!
In fact, we have three brand new titles that we’ve added to our announcement list! Those titles are Clockwork Game, Dreamland Chronicles, and Cow and Buffalo. Check them out below!
SPOTLIGHT!:
In a midweek post, I mentioned the ZGraphicNovel website, which posts some free comic material. The material is scheduled to rotate automatically. This week, if you go to the “Exclusives” section of the ZGraphicNovels site, you will find The Journals of Adelaide Pell, by Monte Wilson. Check it out — it’s yet another fantastic online comic well worth your time.
WEBCOMICS.CC LIBRARY NEWS:
The WebComics.cc Library was recently split into three separate sections instead of being a single section with three parts. The three sections can be found here: Bookshelf, Magazine Rack, and The Funny Pages.
There’s a LOT of addtions to the Bookshelf, and more are coming. It’s not really ready for prime time yet . . . but if you are curious and want to find something fun and new to read, check it out. We’ll announce more when it’s ready for you.
NEW THIS WEEK:
WEBCOMICS.CC TITLES:
Presenting Hero TV #0 — Capes Live on Location. Our camera crew moves on to the Young Guardians. This section was drawn by Kneon Transitt (of Music of the Spheres fame!) and Jeremy Zehr. Next week will wrap up this three page section . . . and answer the question: what will happen to the boy with the ball? Well, what wll happen? Find out next week!
To read the story from the beginning, START HERE. Also, check out Bud Rogers’ comments about his memories of pulling the Hero TV project together!
Previous stories: Hero TV: The Mark (The Director’s Cut).

Korah’s Rebellion continues. Four pages have been posted since our last update, and Korah’s rebellion is now screaming toward it’s conclusion.
Check out Sherwin Schwartzrock’s first comic book, as he interprets the Good Book Kirby-style! We’re posting two pages of Korah’s Rebellion every week. To read Korah’s Rebellion from the beginning START HERE.

Chosen Mortals updates every Wednesday.

The Eagle Riders arrived at our last update. But it seems even the Eagle Riders couldn’t defeat technical difficulties from “ye olde updater” (in other words, “Ben”).
Since our last announcement, we’ve fixed the pages and put them in the correct order. If you have been following our updates, you will probably want to read from this point.
If you are new to ArmorQuest, you can start from the beginning:
ArmorQuest: Genesis — Prologue.
ArmorQuest updates every Tuesday and Friday.

NEW! Clockwork Game: The Illustrious Career of a Chess Playing Automaton
Jane Irwin’s historical drama about a chess playing automaton called the Turk is one Ben has been following for a while. We’re pleased to add it to our list. It’s a great story, and a superb work of historical fiction. You’re definitely going to want to start from the beginning of this one (it’s now past page 50). Updates every Thursday.

NEW! Cow and Buffalo
Hilarious humor strip about the adventures of a, well, cow and a buffalo. Mike Maihack has been doing this comic since 2003, and updates it every Sunday. Enjoy digging through the archives (there’s some real gems, like the Ash the Time Travelling Kitty series) and if you want to start from the beginning, go here. As a humor strip, you don’t need to read them all to enjoy it . . . but you’ll enjoy it so much you’ll want to read them all.

NEW! Dreamland Chronicles
Scott Christian Sava’s insanely popular webcomic is another story we are proud to add to our list. You jsut may want to get started by going to our library and reading book by book, or just starting from the beginning on his website. There’s a reason he’s got millions of readers. His all ages fantasy is like Pixar doing a Narnia film. Awesome stuff.

Every Friday, Boodachitaville posts a strangely and/or hilariously skewed view of the world through the eyes of Bob and Eric, cartoon avatars of the creators who happen to be named Bob and Eric. Topics range from religion to video games, politics to movies . . . to VALENTINE’S DAY and AM COAST TO COAST!!! (They’ve updated twice since our last announcement.)
You can start from the beginning here. It’s really funny stuff. Check it out! Boodachitaville updates every Friday.

The investigation into the Scarlet Assasin continues! Two new pages of Kurt Kolka’s adventures of The Cardinal, a comic strip that has been running in one form or another for decades now, went up since our last announcment.

The Cardinal updates every Sunday.

A fantasy webcomic in the vein of The Dark Crystal, Narnia, Lord of the Rings, or Nausicaa in the Valley of the Wind. New pages start here. To read from the beginning START HERE. What happened to that whale? It ain’t good. Although it could be better than what’s about to happen . . .
Music of the Spheres updates every Monday.

If you’re not reading One Swoop Fell, you should. One Swoop Fell features beautiful artwork and compelling characters. One Swoop Fell is the best of what all ages comics can and should be. New to One Swoop Fell? Read from the beginning HERE.
One Swoop Fell updates every Wednesday.
