Dog Eat Doug is the brainchild of Brian Anderson. It chronicles the day to day life of a chocolate lab named Sophie and a baby named Doug. The relationship between the two is spot on perfect. And the humor is gentle and warm, but also a poignant parody of parenting and pet owning.

Today’s comic is the best I’ve read, easily. If you read this spotlight on Sunday, then you should go directly to the comic strip I’m talking about. if you read this during the week, you’ll want to go back a few strips to the September 27 strip. It’s full color and, well, you’ll know it when you see it.

The fact you’ll have to go back a few strips to find the one I’m talking about is another strength. Dog Eat Doug updates with new strips every day of the week! Can’t beat that. A comic strip that’s artistic, funny, and you get a new one almost every single day? We don’t deserve webcomics like this!
